Avalon is a beautiful golf course community just outside Farragut in Lenoir City. It’s conveniently located within 2 miles of I-75 and I-40 and only 10 minutes from the shopping and entertainment at Turkey Creek. The neighborhood features a wide variety of home designs including single family homes, villas and condos. Many of the homes were built in the late 90s but you’ll also find plenty of newer homes built in the 2000s and even some new construction. It’s located in the Loudon County school district. Avalon golf course features a spectacular 18-hole public golf course which was built in 1997 and designed by Joseph L. Lee. The course was rated 4 stars by Golf Digest magazine. The amenities include a community center, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, pro shop, practice facilities, and even a grill & bar located in the Avalon Club House. The HOA fee varies. "Avalon is a wonderful place to live. The beauty of the location and golf course are very appealing. Our house was one of the first to be built here and I have watched the community prosper over the past 14 years. The homeowners are very diligent in keeping up their property and the common areas in order to keep Avalon a very clean, kept subdivision.... one that has a lot of curb appeal as you drive through the neighborhood. The golf course itself is one of the best in the area. The Avalon community is a very active, friendly one. There is always something going on at the club house with specials from the grille or golf outings. The social committee is very active also. There is always a chance to attend a social and met your neighbors. The swimming pool and tennis courts, which are part of your homeowner privileges, are yet another way to meet your neighbors. I am selling my home, but have no desire to leave Avalon. I hope to downsize right here in Avalon....It is part of my family!"- Diann
"Avalon Golf Community offers any type of lifestyle and level of activity you’d ever want. If you’re an avid golfer, drive your cart down to the golf clubhouse for a round on an excellent course, one which hosts numerous local tournaments. Or take the kids or grandkids down to the pond fishing. The neighborhood also has ample miles of walkway for strolls. Inside the golf clubhouse is the grille/restaurant which has excellent food. The grille is a very popular gathering spot for viewing sporting events and cheering on your team. The HOA is active and well managed to preserve the value and well-being of the neighborhood. The social committee has a number of holiday and seasonal events which typically include a holiday cookie exchange, Christmas party, 4th of July, St Pat Day, and Mardi Gras. The amenities include a community clubhouse available for scheduled events, pool, tennis and basketball courts.
